Meet Irene
Introducing Irene, a licensed acupuncturist in Florida and a certified Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (Dipl. O.M.) by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Her journey began at the renowned Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago and continued at The Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Irene is also a fellow of the Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine (ABORM).
A Passion for Women’s Health
Irene’s mentor, Dr. Peilan Yao, M.D. (China), AP, a seventh-generation herbalist specializing in fertility and gynecological issues, imparted invaluable knowledge about the power of herbal formulas. Inspired by this experience, Irene has dedicated her practice to women’s health, focusing on reproductive and pregnancy conditions. She has completed specialized courses and extensive post-graduate training, working alongside western MDs, endocrinologists, physical therapists, and birth professionals.
Mental Health and Beauty
Beyond women’s health, Irene has extensive experience addressing psycho-emotional issues such as stress, depression, anxiety, insomnia, and PTSD. She also offers Mei Zen, a natural facial and neck rejuvenation technique, combining beauty and wellness in her practice.
A Journey to Wellness
Originally from Puerto Rico, Irene holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Her journey into alternative medicine began when corporate stress led her to discover yoga, bringing peace and introducing her to natural health philosophies. Certified in yoga and acupuncture, Irene integrates mindfulness into her treatments, promoting overall health and well-being.
