Mental Health
Acupuncture centers on treating the whole person — including emotional wellness.
Acupuncture is a method known for its science-based validity in treating pain and discomfort related to health issues such as migraines, sleep disruptions, back pain, and knee pain, in addition to treating and female hormonal health issues, infertility, and painful periods.
Acupuncture is also amazing for our emotional wellness!
We live in a culture where things have become progressively more stressful and the idea of balance, is just that, an idea! With an onslaught of side hustles and being glued to our electronic devices, our mental health is often sacrificed in the name of checking just one more email.
We're here to help your mental health with acupuncture
Below are just some of the mental health concerns acupuncture can address.
- Depression – Depression is a mental health disorder that manifests in so many different ways, and you don’t have to suffer a major episode to have depression. Sometimes depression is just feeling depressed and having a series of bad days. Depression can also take root in exhaustion, anxiety, apathy, and fear of being alone.
- Stress and anxiety – Stress is rooted in most of modern of our modern health concerns and can be manifested physically through poor sleep, poor nutrition, and illness, or mentally through worry, grief, or trauma.
- PTSD – Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is triggered by a traumatic event that was either witnessed or experienced. Symptoms include nightmares, severe anxiety, and flashbacks.
